I have done a search for posts on swimming and I have gotten some good information. I have just started swimming and I really enjoy it...although I am completely out of breath by the time I am done. I was just wondering what a good routine would be for me to do. I am a beginner to swimming. This week I have just been trying to do a total of 12 25M laps (freestyle). Any suggestions on a good swimming routine? Thanks. :)

It depends on your basic fitness level. 12 laps seems a bit light on if you want to get fit. Generally when I have done swimming as cross training (to cycling) I swim about 1km and alternate strokes for each 50m. Eg. Freestyle, backstroke etc which alternates the different muscles you use.

Hi I have just returned to swimming after a three month break. I am a little overwieght after having a baby and would like to lose those extra pounds and build up my fitness levels again. I am probably an intermediate swimmer but need a little variety in training schedules. Can you help?

A good Leg Excersize you can do if you have a floating noodle is to hold the noodle just below your neck to keep your upper body above water and using only your legs swim as many laps as you like (on your back) kicking as hard as you can.
