okay, so i've been working out for over a year now (finally consistently) and i have lost 20 llbs and i feel great.
stats: 5ft tall bw:132 cw:112. bf% 17.
i'm starting to see the ab definition and in the legs... the problem is i have very large shoulders due to my swimming days when i was a kid (competitive for 8 years) i'm a tiny thing... but these shoulders won't get any definition or go down in size either. i get the complement that i'm buff alot however i just feel bulky..
any ideas?

Your problem is not your shoulders...don't think you have to live up to a certain image to be considered pretty....Everyone is different in their own way...I bet most of this problem for you is just how you perceive yourself....be confident....I am a guy and I have the opposite situation...I have very narrow shoulders thanks to genetics...but that's fine with me...just how I am....
if you are trying to see definition in your shoulders...it will be a 2step process....you should work on your shoulders using isolation exercises to define them....and second part is continuing to lose some bf...although you seem to be fairly skinny to begin with....(avg woman is 18-22% bf)......(long distance runners for example tend to be in the 10-12% for females....very very lean).....
Try doing
-Cable Front raises(10*,12,10,8)
-Cable Lateral Raises(criss-cross the cables...hold left handle with right and right handle with left hand)(10*,12,10,8)
-Hang Cleans(30% of 1rm..very light weight)(5,5,5,5) you could use dumbell or a barbell(try to perform it fairly explosively and with little rest...15-30 seconds)....very good at sculpting shoulders......check a link I posted in 'beginning bodybuilding' thread for how to do it...there's a link I posted(it's at the top of the page) toward's bottom of the post....you can see a person perform this exercise...

thanks menace. i am rather confident, its just that area always seemed to be my 'problem' area. i'm trying my best to alter my diet to lean out a little more.
thanks for the exercises... i'm trying to get the rest of my body to catch up with my shoulders.. so i usually do lighter with shoulders only.
thanks again!

No problem...
Problem area is typically an area of weakness not strength as in your case....You should be proud that you're in such good shape and have a good built...don't give this another thought....
