I just thought i would share the good news , i am almost 5 weeks in on my program and i really feel my strengh getting better , i finally reached for the 45 pds dumbell and finished a set of 6 reps (dumbell curls) ,i'm sure i could do 50pds but maybe only 2 or 3 times for now . i am proud of myself , training hard really pays off.

Whats your squat and deadlift like?
Mine sucks compared to the badasses but after a 3 year injury of the lower back it's starting to climb up and making my pants to small.

Well , i am working on my squats , i am not as strong there , i use the 45 's and a 10 on each side , i don't do them every week so it is hard to advance in them quickly, but my overall strengh is going up nicely , i am starting to notice that my bench is getting easier since my tri's are stronger. I love the feeling , and i fell so much better about myself now ,

The Bill Star's 5x5 Intermediate Program will get you stronger faster!
I started on it 2 weeks ago and have been lifting for over 3 years now and in them 2 weeks I gained 5 pounds!
I altered it to suite me and have been getting stronger each session.

There are a few good programs out there which is nice once one gets stale you can go to another as I did.
Westside will be my next move once I get the gains I want off of the 5x5.
