I use them SOMETIMES.. and do them if i'm bored in a class or at work.. you can pratice them by getting down on your hands and knees then forcing all the air out of you and compressing your stomach in.. hold that for a while.. maybe 30 seconds or a minute (not sure any real length of time but this seems to work for me) and let it go.. do that a few times or work it out into reps or sets.. i'm not sure any real in depth details of this exercise though.. I remember a long time ago reading an article which said that arnold said in a book that this exercise was the only way to work some muscle (forgot the name) and in the end makes for a great pose... and i'm not sure if it works that well.. my waist doesn't vary by much unless I stop working out.. I just throw them in because their something different than the usual go...
