Stomach Cramps

I now consider myself to be a runner (I have always hated it, but have gotten to the point where I like it and can run 10K without a problem). However, if I eat or drink ANYTHING within about 4 hours before running, I get terrible stomach (not side) cramps. This is especially bad with long runs because I get dehydrated. Is there a way I can "train" my body to be able to eat a small amount, or at least drink water before running?
