I heard that the step machien if done too often give u massive thighs. is this true???
also does cardio burn muscle? and lifting weights is more effective for weight loss.so really I should limit my cardio to twice a week and do weights for the other 4 days?
If I understand you correctly, you want to lose FAT right? When you say 'lose weight' that means scale weight in the form of fat or muscle.
I assume you do not want to lose muscle ;)
As far as if cardio burns muscle, it certainly CAN if you do not eat a proper diet or do anything to maintain muscle mass (such as weightlift).
Probably the best way to go about losing fat from your body as a primary goal is a balanced workout routine, including weight training and cardio. Usually alternating days of weightraining and cardio are best.
A good diet and workout routine is laid out on www.bodyforlife.com.
www.hussman.org is very informational and explains how the body burns fat and how to avoid burning muscle, etc. It may be worth it for you to read through the site.
