Which is better for working the butt, or in other words raise and harden it ;), i tired to do both, but after the squats i have a hard time stabliizing my self, i dont want to fall over and crack my head or anything like that
Which should i do, or should i do both and try putting them in diffrent places in my rutean, right now i do the squats, calfraises, 1 set of each then repeat for 4sets. Then the lunges by them self, followed by some other stuff but not related to that muscle group
Which is better lunges or squats? (i think the lunges, but i could be wrong)

On my leg days I normally do squats and leg press on the same day with the leg press coming after I feel like I cannot stabilize myself for any higher amount of weight. I substitute in lunges for squats every now and then to change my routine.

I have been doing squats followed by leg presses and some other exercises for the butt and legs, and usually I only feel sore in the thighs afterwards. So yesterday I did lunges instead of squats and let me just say that today I can barely sit!! So I would say that lunges work the butt a bit more, but maybe it just works better for me. Try doing squats plus some extra butt exercises one day, and on your next butt/leg day do lunges in place of the squats and see which make you more sore.

I am wobbly on lunges so I hold on to something (incline bench) with one hand, just lightly to steady myself. My leg day was already pretty intense and I wanted to do a couple glute specific exercises, so I added them to a separate day. On the day I do shoulders I do 3 different things on the hip machine and then my 2 glute ones.

I have an inner ear problem so, needless to say, I am wobbly on lunges but I HAVE to do them. I started the "double" lunge again last night and boy I am feeling them today. My hamstrings and my GLUTES are really letting me know that they are THERE!!! I actually do "walking" lunges and take 12 steps up and 12 steps back, 3 sets of those.

A double lunge is where you step out to do a lunge, drop to your knee for the lunge come back up (still in the "lunge" position) and drop to your knee a second time. It will really give you a workout.
