I rarely get sore. My abs and tri's more than anything. Am I doing something wrong? How important is it that I feel this?

Soreness is not 'important' per se...but it does reflect the intensity of your workouts...once you get into the flow of things the soreness usually decreases...

Assuming you're a beginner to lifting....many novice lifters tend to lift lighter than they should for the fear of injuring themselves or being afraid of the weights....it is possible that you're just not using enough weights....when a set prescribes for 10 reps for example and you do those reps yet you can really do 11,12,20,30....then you won't get much out of it....when a set calls for 10 reps....pick a weight that you can do ONLY 10 reps...some days you might only lift it 8 or 9 reps, that's fine....but to progress once the weight becomes easy, ie you can do it for mroe reps than is required, increase the weights by 2.5,5,10,20..etc depending on the exercise....

what is your typical workout like?

I go to PT twice a week for a hour or 2, depending on how long they keep me. I do weight training 3X a week and I lift as much as I can and I am still yet to get sore in my lower body. I do my legs twice a week, one day for hamstrings and glutes and one day for quads and I usually wind up working my glutes again. Which is why I just don't understand why my lower body which is building the most muscle is never sore. My arms and shoulders however get VERY sore only doing one day a week. I also do cardio for atleast 30 mins in the morning and I usually do 30 mins that night too 3X a week on my off days. I do however overlap my PT days with my weight lifting days. I am just not sure how that affects me. I asked my PT and he said just aslong as I go to PT first he dosen't see a problem. *shrug* thanks though.
