Hey again everyone. I just joined my local fire dept as a volunteer. I'm really excited but have to wait until mid January due to lack of gear. I'm going to take this time to try to get a bit stonger.

Now I made my fitness plan for strength gains, and for the first day it has 8 different exercises with 4 sets each, and the reps start at 20. Is that kind of a lot or am I just clueless? :D

btw, my profile is old and I'm quite new to lifting. Well, very new. I'm 5'10'' and 190lbs, not much muscle hehe. Just looking for advice pretty much to get me into it gradually. And not burn myself out right away.

If you are just starting out, don't try to be "Arnold" 4 weeks. Take care about your form and weight levels.
The first set of reps is a "warm up" set so don't go all out, save your energy for the balance of the sets.
Good luck and hope you reach your goals.
