Hi I am a 25yr female, i have been a member and a lover of the gym for just over 6months now and I am trying to lose a little weight and tone up, i am not overweight but am quite muscley.I am 5"6 and weigh 64.5kg (which to me is far too heavy). I am also a vegetarian too.
I have been told that a quick way to lose the kgs is weightlifting as well as cardio so to raise my metabolism..But i always think i will bulk up too much as i got very muscley when working with horses.I do not want to get any bigger really, altho i want fab abs of course. ! Can u help me and give me advise on how to lose the excess.. i currently just do cardio at the gym daily for about 1hr, the treadmill, the stepper and the walker (what is the correct name for this machine, its like a ski action)? and the rower altho that is not my favorite as it is a killer.. ! I do use some weights for sit ups and crunchs tho.

Also would u recommend that i take protein supplements, as being a veggi i dont think i consume enuf protein, altho i know it helps build and repair muscles, i obviously dont want to encourage muscle growth.!? All this is sooo confusing.. I have a pretty healthy diet with lots of fruit and veg, brown rice and pasta.. But now i hear that i should cut out Brown rice and pasta and my ultimate fave BREAD if i want to loose any substantial weight.!
Ooo I have already changed my diet radically and cut down on chips and chocolate..
I know all these questions are pretty silly, but it is sooo confusing when there are so many different opinions out there. I would be so grateful if someone could guide me on what to do.. !

Would it be classified as overly competitive if I refused to let a 4 year old beat me at chutes and ladders?
