I use to be significantly overweight, however now I'm more athletic than the vast majority of the kids at my highschool. Now that I'm no longer self concious about my weight I found a way to manage the small meals during the school day. Got permission to use some extra storage space in one of the home ec rooms fridge.
However despite my healthy habits, disciplined attitude torwards physical exertion, and level of physical fitness my peers still give me a hard time about weight. Their easy to shrug off because I know I outperform my critics both academically and physically now but sometimes it really gets to me. Since when is a 205lbs 19%BF size 34 waist, 6'2 and half male considered fat?!?! I didn't mind being teased about my weight when I actually was overweight but now that physical fitness plays such a major role in my life, and consumes so much of my effort and time, I demand some god damn respect from them!
Sorry for the rant, just needed to get it out in front of an audience

Just keep doing it for yourself Bighoss. I went through exactly the same thing 30 some odd years ago and you'll have the last laugh. Forget the critics. You already know what you need to do and when you're 40 and fit, they'll be trying to figure out how to see their toes around their bellies. :)

exactly :) by all means, dont let it get to you. what you are doing now is going to have a profound impact on the rest of your life. you've realized early the benefits of healthy eating/exercise, and you're going to be that much a better person for it. like you said, you are physically and academically superior to your peers, be proud of that.

I agree with bropie. Being physically and academically superior to your peers is something to be proud of. Keep that in mind. You've come to the right place for support and encouragement. These folks are the best!

Hey, don't listen to those a$$holes who are just jealous that they don't have the ability to make the changes you've made. Keep up the good work and see what happens to those jerks at your 20 yr class reunion. I bet they won't look half as good as you.
