whats up bigtosh? About the sissy squat. I have checked out books from the library and have seen guys doing this exercise holding like a 45lb. weight while they did them. Ive tried it and it seems okay, a little unstable but I have since not used any weight other than body. I think you have to ask yourself, which I did, what muscle group you are trying to work and maybe use alternative exercises that you may feel more comfortable doing. I think the word "Sissy" in the sissy squat was named for the fact of not using any weight or low weight. Thats my opinion for whatever it is worth my brother.
