To some this may offend, and I don't mean it to, it's just how I felt, so my apologies in advance.
Last night I went to lift weights in the little gym at our apartments. I had done great(really pushing) on my first machine, and had done one set on the second machine when a very thuggish looking black guy came into the workout room.
He passed through while talking on his cell phone, so I continued with my next set happy that no one would be there to watch my struggles.
At the end of that set however, he came back into the workout room, sat on one of the 3 workout machines I had left to do, and proceeded to talk on his cell phone. I have never seen this guy in our apartments before, and found it very odd that he was sitting in there to talk on his phone. It just didn't feel right to me, so I left.
So here is my question, do I count the sets that I did do on those 2 machines as my exersize for yesterday, or do I count it as a no exersize day since I didn't get to everything??

Cristal, if you did it it counts. If you are in this for the long haul it won't matter if you miss a set or 2. Maybe you should get a workout partner or a trained mastiff for company.

Charlie, if I got a trained mastiff, I would spend all my time cuddling with the pudders rather than working out. Maybe I will just keep my cell phone with me so that I can call someone in case of emergancy.

So I take it you were alone, CristalBelle? I used to get a little skitish whenever I found myself working out alone in my apartment or hotel workout rooms, but I'm a big 'fraidy cat! Anyway, I think it was just plain rude that someone would just come in to have a telephone conversation while people are working out whether you were alone or not. There are doors and they can take it outside. A workout area is for working out.

Yes, I was alone, and as I had never seen him before(I recognize most of our neighbors) I was a little freaked out. I am going to lift again tonight, and will take my cell phone with me so I feel a little more secure.

Would you have left if he was a "thuggish" white guy?

If he had been dressed like this guy, and acting like this guy, I can honestly say yes I would have left. I have a hard enough time when there are other girls in there w/me, let alone any younger male with jeans, chains, ratty shirt and talkin on a cell phone. When I said thuggish I didn't mean "the hood" thuggish, I meant "looks like he probably carries a knife" thuggish.
