hi people , the problem is that my right half of the body is much stronger than the left half , my left arm thighs , forearms , shoulders , chest have more stronger muscles with a little more bulge than my right half . is this a very usual tendecny as i am a right hander and basketball player and am not very comfotbale with my left hand in the game too . please advice my something , it really bothers me at times , cuz as i am working out i can see my right bisceps having more bulge than my left biscep and also during dumbell presses and bench presses in the final stages(i.e. the last set) i can feel at times that i can hold with my right hand but not my left .

Try dumbbell workouts, dumbbell press (chest), dumbbell curls (biceps), lunges (thighs), dumbbell squats (thighs)(hold them to your side as you would during lunges and squat), dumbbell wrist curls (forearms)(remind you, forearms are worked in back workouts), and front and side raises(shoulders). Those are some excercises that will help. Especially the chest, dumbbell presses are the best to get that symmetric look. Like ravenwolf said, focus on each rep, don't just throw the weight around, focus on each and every rep that you do, squeeze with both sides of your body, not just your right. Hope this helps

thanks a ton for that piece of advice but don't u think doing the same number of repititions for both would not result in symmetric growth , coz right now it's unsymmetrical and if i do the same weight and reps then will it tend to grow in the same propotion or with time ,both left and right arms and left side chest would gain the same amount of bulk

Not necessarilly because while the weaker side will be performing at say 85% max effort, the stronger side will only be perfoming at 75-80%. This will cause the weaker side to adapt to a slightly greater degree & result in the balance that you are seeking. Hope this helps.

ravenwolf and plfitness are giving good advice. My left arm is weaker too, but since starting it has gotten a lot stronger and my left shoulder seems to be the stronger one now. Give it time.
