Please tell me what the seated twist does. Is it a stretch for my obliques or does it actually build them? The ab program has me doing three sets of fifteen but I feel no burn. They are boring and time comsuming and I feel like I could probably do 200 of them if I wanted to (which I don't).

LOL

I was kind of wondering if this exercise works myself! They are kind of boring in that they do not reward you with a bit of stinging pain immediately...:D

Anybody care to explain? :)

The seated twists are to help develop the obliques. If you are finding it easy. Then try adding some weight. concentrate on twisting with good form. Should feel a good mild stretch. Do one side first then the next. If you twist going back and forth it does not seem to work as well.

I've wondered about that myself. I assumed that it was a prep for the oblique exercises coming up later in the program since the program is progressive. Also, is it really necessary to do 25 of each on all ab work. Boring!

Good idea, Starbell, to do one side at a time. Am going to try that! Thanx for the tip.

Thanks for the reply Starbell. I'll add weight, concentrate on form, and do one side at a time. Hey agamble... I was wondering the same thing. Boring exercise after burning on crunches and leg raises.. but i'll do what the program says. I'm here for the build and the education!!!

Same here. I've learned alot since starting but everyday I realize I don't know anything. It is definately alot to absorb. Thank heaven for the people here at ft. I have to admit though I dig the process and feel a hundred percent better about my health and myself.
