If your lifting to gain strength and or size then yes it's way too much!

I have learned it's best to lift 1st then do moderate cardio and hit the cardio hard on off days.

you can hit cardio hard on weight days if you lift in the early part of the day and hours later at night do your cardio.

I for one can not do the type of cardio I do on off days on days I lift for the fact the lifting takes allot out of me.

If your running as you say then your lifting can't be much.

Before I learned I did cardio hard before lifting but came to learn way my lifting was weak.

You'll be surprised how much stronger your lifting will get once you learn to save your energy for the lifting.

This is what BB1FIT has said time after time!

Here are the top 3 scenarios for doing weights and cardio in order of importance:

#1 - On non-weight training days
#2 - weights in the am and cardio in the pm
#3 - light-cardio after weights

Here is a link to a whole post about what BB1FIT has to say about this very subject http://www.freetrainers.com/FT/jsp/Message.jsp?f_ix=0&t_ix=4738
