Im curious to know everyone's Restign heart rate. My Heart rate is constantly over 85 to about 90 (for as long as i remember). I just finished Drill sergeant school and relaized this isnt a good resting heart rate. im in great shape but im wondering what can i do to lower it. I also have a high metabolism.

You should be more concerned with keeping a low blood pressure. The number of times your heart beats per minute is directly correlated to the amout of oxygen that your blood is able to carry. Your organs let your heart know how much O2 they are getting, if they are getting an ample amount of O2 your heart wont pump as often. I am puzzled though that you are in good shape and still have a relativly high RHR. I know i did not answer your question but jsut a little information

oh yeah.....
my resting heart rate is now about 68. back before i started Ft it was around 80.
this sounds dumb, but make sure you are calculating correctly, i take the number of beats in 15 sec and multiply by 4 , make sure you are completely rested when you take it also
