you should pyramyd up to a weight closer to your max......example.....if your max is 2000 on bench,,,,
12x130 10x 150 8x 165 6x 175 4x185 2x195........somthing like that, this gets your body gradually used to the weight, but you can keep the reps the same and pyramid just the weights
