Start here.
First thing you want to do is find your maintenance calories, that is the amount it takes daily to keep you at your current weight. Do this by weighing yourself today, then keeping track of everything you eat for a week, and I do mean everything. At the end of the week see if you lost or gained. if you did neither, your fairly close to your maintenance calories, which is going to be the average of everything you kept track of for the week. So for examples sake if your total calories for the week was 14,000, your daily maintenance calories would be 2000, to maintain your body weight. Once you know this you can gain or lose whenever you want. To gain simply add 200-400 to your daily amount, to lose do the opposite. It mainly comes down to calories in and out. You do have variables though when gaining or cutting such as the macro, how much protein/carbs/fats.
Go to the specific diet and nutrition forum and do a little legwork on good eating. Eat foods off the "grocery list for healthy eating" thread in that forum.

And here, get moving, walk, jog or a mixture of both for 30/45 minutes 4/5 times a week, if you have access to a gym ask the trainers for advice & a program, if you don't start doing some press-ups, chins, crunches, do anything that causes you to be more active, and follow Mojo's advice
