Hi everyone,
I have a somewhat confusing question. Besides lifting I play soccer, basketball, tennis and rollerblade for my cardio workouts. Soccer has really paid off in that my endurance has greatly improved. I have recently noticed that when I am playing my legs seem to get sore before I am phsyically out of breathe. This also happenend on the recumbent bike in the gym. I was wondering why this is occuring. Shouldn't I be out of breahte before the soreness? Is it a mental thing and I just need to push myself through the soreness?

It's possible that you are just overworking your legs. Try to incorporate more rest in-between.

Good luck...

I used to have an issue with the side of my leg hurting while running. I would try getting a new pair of shoes. This helped me a lot. I got a pair with a good arch support. Also, are you stretching enough prior to the cardio?

I usually don't stretch before playing in games. I think I should start doing that more often. Does anyone know any sites were I could learn about which stretches to do. There are many of them I know and it's always good to learn new ones. I'll check this site to see if there is any information.

Yeah, use the fitBuddy below, there may be some ideas there, also, here is a good site for soccer players and stretching:

You may be feeling the lactic acid building up, you need to stretch before and after so relieve some of that.
