i have just got a punchbag i was wondering if anyone could give me some tips in training programs

start out with 3 sets of 5 mins hitting the bag.
do 5 mins with each set and take a 1-2 min break in between each set.
do this every day for a week.
after the 1st week move up to 5 sets of 8 mins.
do this every day for 3 weeks.
then after this just keep moving up your time and sets as needed.
