You know those things that you can carry with you and use to exercise in order to build a pump at anytime...people usually use it in competitions, it's like a contraption with wire resistance or something... well, what are they, where can I get them, how much do they cost and can I use them for more than just biceps (i.e. chest etc.)?

Bands?....they are sold in many resistances and with different goals in mind......
...there are those designed for general population/fitness and they usually come in 3-10 different resistances levels....some are meant to be used more for legs and larger body parts and then lighter ones are used more for smaller body parts....
range from about 10 to about 100 for a pack of multi-resistances.....
http://gymball.com/loop_bands.html...this is one of hundreds...google others
.....then there are bands that come in significantly higher resistances that are meant for serious strength training....like used by powerlifters.....they come as mini bands and regular sized...and vary from very light to hundreds of pounds of resistance......they are used for dynamic portion of training by powerlifters....although I am sure there are plenty of other strength athletes who like the portability, resistance poundage, and continuous resistacne that bands provide.....
www.elitefts.com...this is one of the best...there are a few more if you search using google or another search engine...
20 to 200-300+ dollars

You can get them at Wal Mart, but they will not last. I had one from Wal Mart, and it lasted 6 months. Try:

For the best ones.
