Hey all. I just signed up and my exercise programs wants me to do chin ups... but I have nothing to do those on. Is there a replacement exercise I can do (I have a lot of free weights) instead?

There really isn't anything you can do with free weights from the same effect. Are you sure you can't find anything to do these with?

Go outside your house, find a tree with a strong branch...... there you go! You found something to do it with :)

keep doing them, even half chin ups. Concentrate on the negative part. Do like 20 sets of 1 rep.

or if you have access to a lat pulldown, you can do that to build up strength.. aim for 3 sets of 6-8 reps

See if you can find a chin-up bar at a sporting good store. Usually you can place it in a doorway and it unscrews to tighten against the sides.
Here's one...pretty inexpensive.
