I take about 100 grams of EAS Simply Protein a day. It gives me a ton of gas! Does anyone know anything that will reduce gas caused by protein supplements? |

Inferior proteins will also do this. I am not a big fan of the "simplies" by them. I think just the fact that they are always on sale should tell you something. -------------- The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary! |

BB you are so right, found this out after trying many inferior products. With good products, comes proper digestion, that won't stay with you or anyone else in the room. lol |

Are you mixing your shakes with milk? You may be slightly lactose intolerant and not know it. I recently dropped milk from my dieting and my digestive system seems to be working so much better now. The annoying thing is, the shakes taste so good with milk and there's not much else you can mix with to make them taste good. I'm using water, powder, and egg whites now. It ain't bad but it's not as good as the milk shake. |

Can someone list some "superior" powders? I've been having some nasty flatulence issues, and had been hoping it wasn't my shakes...As for mix: I've found 50% Soy Beverage / 50% Water really helps with the taste. Not as good as milk, but it'll do. --S |

I use MVP and Basic. Both have excellent tastes and don't gas me out!-------------- The trouble with jogging is that, by the time you realize you are not in shape for it, it is too far to walk back! Franklin P. Jones Ivan Montreal Canada |

MVP is a brand of protien. As far as best brands you will have to do some research. Look at the #'s of grms of the nutrients and what percentage is protien and not filler.-------------- The trouble with jogging is that, by the time you realize you are not in shape for it, it is too far to walk back! Funny, I never considered that. I used to have this issue as well, ironically, I was taking EAS's Simply Whey at the time. This happens to some people regardless, but mine eventually stopped and no longer happens. Oddly enough, it stopped right around the time I ran out of EAS stuff and switched to Optimum Nutrition . . .It never occured to me that there was a correlation, I thought I just adapted to it . . . -------------- "Don't follow leaders and watch your parking meters!" -- Bob Dylan |

if you mix your protien in a blender with milk you'll notice alot of bubbles on the top, and that's where the gas comes from. just wait for them to go down before you drink it |
