Proper Dip Form

So what is the proper dip form? Some people have their elbows directly straight, while others have them pointed out. When they're straight, the focus is mostly all on the triceps, and whenn they are out, the focus is both the triceps and chest. Is this right?

Not really, you should try to keep your elbow as close to your body as possible. If you lean forward more, the chest is utilized to a greater extent. If you try to stay more upright, the focus shifts to the triceps.
