Sometime ago we had a little "dung flinging" over the pros & cons of the "Fatkins" kind, which I have been following for a while, so said I'd post the results following a checkup last week.
GREAT NEWS: Blood pressure. 115/70, Doc reckons this is excellent. Heart rate. 58 resting. Once again Doc reckons fantastic. Cholestrol and blood sugar still baing analysed, however he is/was most optimistic as he regards me to be in prime condition.
Thus far net weight loss = 50 pounds. Do I feel like I am on top of the world or what? Still have 12 to go, but suspect that my gradual "beefing up" & toning is masking the overall loss as I'm now in way better shape, literally than I have been in 20 years.

As someone who has followed the Atkins program and seen results, I say congratulations!!! Way to go!

The Doc called to advise of the blood test results.
HDL = 130.
LDL = 40.
This is perfectly normal for my age etc.
I am satisfied that the Atkins way is working for me.
