After spending several months doing girly press ups (knees on the floor) several times a week, and then for the past 3 weeks, doing them every day, I can now do proper pressups, and 10 thereof. Haven't been able to do this since I was 9 and an olympic gymnast, so there you go!
Woo!

From age 6 to 9 I went to gymnastics - it was an olympic club, as in if you went there you were deadly serious about taking it as far as you could. My coach, Alex Hall was the current british champ, and a lot of the older gymnasts there went to regular comps for olympic selection. I was pretty good, so I rose through the ranks quickly. When I was 9, i was training for 3 hours monday to friday and 6 hours on sunday. We went to America for a 'friendly' comp once, and won, so I was doing it a high level. However, also when 9, i feel off a beam and broke my arm. While recovering, I realised this wan't what I wanted to do with my life - at the level i was at, IT WAS YOU LIFE! Plus, I quite enjoyed being able to do things other than gymnastics, so I quit.
