I am posting this in the hope that someone is going through the same things and might have some advice. I have put on about 30 lbs in the past 2 years from 145 to 175 on a 5'8" frame. I am pudgy now where I used to be very thin. I want to lose the fat and gain strength and mass. This is my problem: I work 2 full time jobs, one overnight, and one day shift 5 days a week and sleep 3-4 hours an afternoon on those days. I want to get into the gym, and diet, but it is very difficult to do with any regularity, and everyone(this site included) says that proper rest(7-8 hours or more) is the key to gaining mass and burning fat. Any suggestions for diet and workout program would be hugely appreciated. I have been lax about this in the past but I think I'm ready to buckle down. Thanks for any help.
hello lee.. welcome to the site.. glad to hear that u have decided to train but are having problems adjusting ur schedule.. please fill us up with what jobs u doing and how much offtime or breaks u get in between them...
sleeping is NOT ONLY important for gaining weight and mass.. it is VERY important to recover ur body from fatigue.. it is important for ur complete body.. even ur brain too.. so i would not suggest u to have only 3-4 hours sleep..
get urself nutrition plan from this site.. and a workout plan.. that'll fulfill ur needs...
and please fill ur profile too.. so that we could know what ur goals are..
hope i helped...
