I just started taking One a day maximum multivitamin about a week and a half ago and I had one day of energy the first day I started taking it, and now I am completely drained. I am getting very discouraged that I have no energy to do anything anymore. I have only been working out and going to the gym for only 3-4 weeks. And I was never this tired till I took this multivitamin. I am 19 and overweight but I cant beleive I am this tired. please help! Do i stop the multivitamin???!

A good idea would be to check with your Dr. to make sure you don't have mono, depression, or some other problem that is causing the fatigue. I wouldn't think that a multivitamins would not cause fatigue. (most of the time I seem to get energy from them, :) though that could be in my mind)

No the vitamin by itself will not cause that level of tiredness. There is a underlying cause. Got to a doc...do you got to college? If so are you living in a dorm? If yes go to a doc asap as Mono is the most likly cause....

I have no idea how to spell it but it is a illness that causes extreme fatuige and the inability to get any energy. I had it during my college days all I did was sleep 15hrs a day at times. It was all I could do to get up to pee. it is not that dangerous if you get to a doc....they can treat it easliy

Infectious Mononucleosis ...its caused by the EPV virus (Epstein-Barr virus)...have you had a fever recently? Maybe a sore throat? Those are some other symptoms..If you not, it is still possbile you have the virus. You get it from kissing, or drinking after someone...It is common, but it affects people differently. Fatigue can last for a couple months.

That could be the key to your problem. If you have cut back too many carbs, you will not have enough energy to even think straight. Try adding back some. (good ones only).
Hope this helps.

I thought the same thing, Ivan. But if eating more doesn't help, go see a doctor.
