Last week I had an opportunity to go visit my grandmother, my body just felt like it was falling apart. So I went ahead and took the break early, ate a bunch of my grandma's good food and then when I got home went to the zoo w/ my hb and my daughter. It has been nice but other than one elbow that's still a little creaky and one shoulder that's still a little slippery I feel like I need to get my momentum back! LOL

Probably will go to the Farmer's market today, get a bunch of fresh veggies and fruits, then to the pool, maybe to the gym tonight. I've kept up my running and even increased my distance so I shouldn't be in too bad shape. Anyone else sometimes feel like you just have to let go of the reins every once in a while?

Yeah it is a good idea once every 3 months or so (sometimes even sooner) to just quit for a week or so. Recharge the battries so to speak. Good for you! Good luck!

Thanks Mutt! Hope you're doing well, recharging the batteries is a good analogy, that's exactly right. I felt like I needed a recharge. Had planned on finishing my current eight week program first but it has been at least three months since I took a good break. I think my mind needs a break, too, it gets tired of counting everything I eat, psyching myself up to work out every day, etc.
