my gym doesnt' have a glute ham machine, so I use a physioball, with my feet hooked under a bench. well I was on my 7th one.........and 7s that magical number......and the last one it could take, cause I wound up on the ground on my face.
Thinking about sueing for mental stress, dunno if I can ever get on another ball again.

Sorry to hear about that. Andrew, make sure if you do any type of work on /with the ball, check to make sure it has the safety bladder. Hope your ok.

dunno....for me the physioballs have proven to be a waste of time....get very little out of them...
this has happened to me before when i was fkn around...i looked like a bear on a lil tricycle....next to all these petite women doing same thing....when i tipped over... a couple times...it was quite funny...
but as I was saying there are plenty of other exercises that can be substituted for the physioball....I don't get much out of the 'balance' aspect of the ball as it provides very little resistance(or challenge doing even 'challenging exercises I get out of the magazines) for me and I can't use resistance because that makes the exercise dangerous....because imo compound (strength/power)exercises are meant to be done on a sturdy surface...(this is why i still laugh myself to sleep rememebering how one guy at my gym was doing 110s DB presses on the ball with bad form).....
eh...just gotta shake yourself off...laugh a bit and keep going.....I think it's more humorous than embarassing...

Keep in mind the exercise balls have various levels of resistance. And Like Menace said, they are not built for heavy weights. (kinda like those plastic patio chairs!).

well i wa susing my body weight, cause when you hook your legs under somthing, and try to reverse hyper it, you have to really balance on the ball, and pull uniformlly, to keep from rolling over.

Ohhhh dear.....I've seen people fumble off the treadmills, but not the exercise balls yet, but I can definately see the possiblities, they are not the most stable and thus my avoidance of them, though I may eventually get one for at home so my loved ones have something else to laugh at me about.
