overtraining is it that bad

everyone said i was overtraining I so i started to do less and i noticed i got started to shrink in size...................

my old routine:
mon- Chest & Bi's 3 supersets 4 sets for chest so 6 excercises 2 super sets for bi's

tues-Leg day 5-6 excersises

thurs- Back and Tri's same routine as chest and bi's

fri-Sholder & Traps 8-10 excersise all together

New routine
i do 4 excersies for bigger body parts like Chest, Back, and Legs
and 2-3 on smaller parts like tri's and bi's

can anyone tell me that if it is possible that some people gain more from overtraining than do the suggested amount

I imaigne it depends on your body if you're overtraining or not. If you weren't feeling any adverse effects then you were probably not overtraining.
