Just curious on what the proper way to find out what your one rep max is for bench press? For example how many sets or reps do you do prior before trying for maximum weight.

befor finding your ORM i recommend doing a warm-up set of 10 with a weight easy enough that you dont really feel worked, and then a set of 3 so that the third rep is difficult but your not struggling. then rest for at least two minutes and go for your ORM.
