I am a 230 lb., 5'll" female. In my nutrition requirements, it says to eat in excess of 3000 calories daily! How am I supposed to do this AND lose weight?!

You are pretty tall and with your weight, 3000 calories is not that bad. Remember you have to eat to actually lose weight. Spread the calories out into about 5-7 meals and do cardio and weight training. If you do not see results then you can try to lower your calories by 10% until you see the results you want. You want to try and aim for about 2 pounds per week. Hope this helps.

You got a fast metabolism?
I'm 5'11 tall as well (but weight 150lbs)
I agree 3000 cal seem a little too much, I eat around 2400 cal daily.

It seems FT always gives out very high intake figures for people looking for fatloss. I understand about needing to eat to lose but every one who's posted their figures here has basicly been told it sounds high.

Mine was 2800 cal 440 carb for a 5'10 180lb male looking for fat loss, that is quoting low metabolism. For high it was 3400cal and nearly 600 carb.
I'm going steady at around 2400cal 330 carb.

Everyone who's posted concerns about their targets has pretty much been told they seem high.

When I first started on my weight loss program, I adhered to my calorie requirements and lost about 10 lbs. before I had to lower my caloric intake, but I suppose it just depends on the person.
