Hi all! I'm new and I have some questions. The site says my calorie max is 1732. I'm 5'7" and 131 lbs (unfortunately this is not mostly muscle mass :(---I guess which explains why I'm here......anyway....) I have a difficult time meeting that, even when I eat 6 times a day. I feel very bloated and uncomfortable. I've been pretty steady at being able to take in 1300-1400 calories. How detrimental is it that I am 300-400 below the max? I'm trying to repair my slow metabolism (damage done by not eating right)and I'm thinking that to jump that high too soon would have more negative effects than positive. I have no problem reaching my protein goals, I do however have a tough time getting all the carbs in.....help!!!
Welcome to freetrainers. Congrats on turning around and getting into a healthy lifestyle. Once you get used to it, the healthy lifestyle will turn int a habit.
For your calorie question, try adding on about 100 at a time, so this week go with 1500, next week 1600 etc. If you see results after the 3rd week stay at that. If you don't see any results lower it a bit. You don't say if you are doing any exercise. If you are the calorie intake is very important and also the source.
