When counting % of nutrients do you count all carbs or do you count only net carbs? With eating vegetables lately it seems almost impossible to maintain only 25% carbs!

Most veggies are very few carbs. Unless you are eating very calorie dense veggies, then you should have little issues. Normally on the type of diet you are referring to, 25% or fewer carbs, this borders along a keto type diet(not yet, but getting there). If this is the case, veggies should be your number one source of carbs anyway.

I'm just slowly working myself down with carbs to where I still have the energy to carry out my day without crashing or feeling signs of Keto. I think I'll probably stick around 25%.. I may try 20% for a week or so but I don't think my body is ready for that yet.

I just want to 'tone up' for the summertime before baseball starts.. During baseball season I'm going to intake 30% on off days (practice) and possibly even 40% on game days.. That way I'll be able to maintain and have full energy at the same time. Baseball plays all the way into the summer so I don't really have the time to do it in between.. You know?

If I was to up my protein intake would you recommend cutting whole wheats and such from my diet and using vegetables solely as my intake of carbs? As of now I'm eating either whole wheat toast or a bowl of all bran extra fiber in the mornings.
