I've been working out for maybe a little over 2 months now i sort of followed the 12 week intermediate mass building program i borrowed exerciese and stuff like that. and then i decided to go back and follow the program i just finished week 3 and today when i was benching i did good on incline and decline then when it came to flat bench barbell i couldn't do the weight that i normally do, i was def. pretty tired by the time it came to flat bench could it be possible i was just tired or have i plateaued? I;m not really sure of the signs of plateauing. the last 2 weeks i was using dumbells and then today i did the barbell. Everything else i'm doing seems to be progressing pretty well. Should i take a week off? Also is woking the biceps and triceps w/ 2 exercises enough as the program says to do or should i add in a 3rd exercise? Thanks guys

Usually one doesn't plateau after only 2 months. I would say that fatique set in. Hows your diet and are you taking any multi-vitamins?

Sounds like fatigue more than anything. You may have just had a bad day (hey, it happens). Also you should eat something about an hour or so before your workout, that will boost your energy. Notice the order in your routine. Next week it will change. As for biceps and triceps they are worked as secndary muscles on many of your other exercises.

i usually do eat about an hour before workouts, should i start taking multi-vitamins and if so what is a good brand? Thanks for all your input, it probably was fatigue b\c i was kinda in a rush and i didn't rest enough in between sets and exercicses

I think you hit on the answer to your questions. You need to make sure you rest between sets (1-4 minutes depending on your fitness level). There is no standard answer as you should listen to your body and get the feel for what is the peoper amount of rest. I struggled with that for awhile but as I got further into the program I got better with that and you will to. As for multi-vitamins depends on how much money you have to spend. Those are rather expensive. Check the boards alot of good brands are mentioned.
