I have noticed the last few times i have worked out that things are changing a bit. Instead of my muscles burning, they just are simply stopping. Basically, I don't feel any burn but i just get to a point where i can't lift anymore. It doesn't hurt, but it just doesn't go. Is that normal/ok? I can't really increase weight because then i won't be able to complete the set. But if i decrease then i don't feel anything at all. Hopefully its ok!

Sounds like its time to change up the routine. Try new exercises, try more set's or heavier weights with less Rep's.
Change it up, keep the body guessing. Also maybe some drop sets or something

You should at least up the weight. Being able to do all of your reps or maybe all your reps +1 is a good indicator that you need up the weight. Just because you can't get all your reps doesn't mean that weight is too heavy unless you can't do any.
For example, doing 6 out of 8 targeted reps is not bad. It means that you can stay at that weight. Go for 7 next time then 8 then up the weight and repeat.

But going to failure doesn't always mean you are feeling a burn. I did this today with dumbbell curls...failed on the left side 2 reps short. Just couldn't get the dumbell past halfway, but it didn't burn. Is that what you mean?

msmogreen, you are right, sometimes going to failure doesn't mean you will feel the burn or pump as much. which is why I suggested trying new exercises, or changing routine.
For instance if you always do Biceps and Chest, and Triceps and back, then try doing Biceps and Triceps on one day, and Chest and back together on another day. Alternate which muscle you do first in your routine as well.
however feeling the pump isn't always indication that you had a great work out, but it sure feels like it :dumbbell:

Thanks, I'll try switching it up and seeing what happens. I'll keep working hard though :)
