I am 6,3 and weigh 226 pounds 25% bodyfat. I really want to bulk up and lose fat. I am taking protein shakes and eat fairly healthy. I have been going to the gym now 5 times a week for 4 weeks. I am enjoying it but not seeing any fat loss. I do cardio 2 mornings for 30 mins and weights 3 x a week. I was thinking of buying a fat burning stack from maximuscle which includes CLA.
Can anyone give me some advice?

What is fairly healthy....what is your diet really like...if you have seen results in four weeks while working out...then your problem most likely lies in your diet...what do you eat on a given day???

Alanh, fill in your profile. Results will vary some depending on age as well as diet. You could be gaining muscle and not realize it. I had to stop training after recent surgery. A month after I began training again, My weight was up 8 lbs but my waist measurement was unchanged. Richard, those were the days, enjoy them. I could lose 5 lbs when I was 18 by skipping a meal . Good luck guys, Charlie

First off, your training regimen seems fine, & contrary to popular belife prolonged cardio has very little to do with fat loss. As richardjst stated the problem is going to lie within your diet, eating semi healthy & eating for weight loss are alot farther apart than you might think. It is all about calculating calories consumed vs. calories used, this is where the true battle of the bulge lies. try posting your typical daily diet maybe we could help more.

Hi sorry i have not posted. thanks for all the feed back. Ok I now weigh just under 15 stone so i have lost almost 6 pounds at last. I am seeing a little difference and feeling much better about myself. My diet is fairly clean. I have not been eating any cakes, crisps or chocci for 4 weeks and stick to this
Morning protien shake with skimmed milk or water. about 40 g protien, low fat cottage cheese with pineapple in low fat bagel.
mid morning, protie shake and yoghurt maybe some fruit
lunch, protien shake, tuna sandwich or bagel
afternoon, protien shake and fruit, small tub low fat cottage cheese.
evening, veggies, fish or chicken.
before bed protien shake.
This is just 1 day but I do now stick to very low fat and high protien. I do weights 3 times a week and 30 mins cardio 2 mornings per week and now take protien shake before I do cardio. Any suggestions welcome.

You should try to replace some of those protein shakes with real food. Try a grilled chicken breast or a can of tuna, or an eggwhite omelet. Personally i think you are eating way too little and substituting way too much.

The problem I have is time. I work long hours and do not really know any other way to get all my proper food. If I was at home at luch then I would grill chicken or fish. But I am out all the time working a different locations so I have to eat what I bring out with me. Cold food is not nice at the best of times. Where will I find some good snack ideas? The other problem is I have very little appetite. I even have trouble eating breakfast!
