Hi, I just joined FreeTrainers today and am very excited about getting started on my weight training program. I have a quick question, though. My gym has a Standing Calf Raise Machine. Will this machine be adequate to do the exercises listed as "Seated Calf Raises"? Probably a stupid question, but I'd love some help with it! Thanks!

Welcome aboard Lydia. I'm not sure I can personally answer your question regarding calf raises but, I'm sure someone will shortly.

I actually prefer doing standing calf raises than seated ones. To answer your question, yes you can substitute. Good luck!
