Hi everyone I have a question on my routine. I've been working out since Jan of this year and started from 270 and currently I'm down to 245. When I started off my routine consited of lifting and moderate bike riding and treadmill running. I was taking the supplement Xenadrine up till 1 month ago and I wanted to try and do it on my own without the risk and I've kinda bottomed out. Well Im back now with a whole new routine and wanted to get some feed back on if this a good plan for fat loss and muscle defining. Running 5 days a week first thing in the morning (2-4 miles) and lifting on a 12week progam of 4 days one week and 3 the next for 12 weeks. m (light) w (heavy) f (moderate) sun (power). Then tues (light) thu (heavy) sat (moderate). I feel that the most thing I have problems with is my diet. Imean I down snack on foods i should'nt eating but i just dont have a set plan, and if anyone can give me an idea on what type of diet plan works best for them if this is a good routine i would apprciate the info.

Whenever I feel like I need to eat I drink a glass of water or I'll snack on fruits, vegies (celery sticks) or wait a few minutes to let the hunger pass by.

First off, Welcome! Good to see another big guy here. I can sympathize with you as I was at a starting weight of 282 & have been stuck at 241 for at least 3-4 months.

A big aspect of your workout though sounds like some power lifting, exercises not associated with aerobic activity. The big thing to look at is your appearance. Have you lost inches? Do you look leaner or appear to have less fat even though you haven't lost pounds? Are you wearing a smaller size pants? As you will see posted her frequently, muscle weighs more than fat, so you may be losing fat and gaining muscle, but not losing pounds. This is normal with heavy lifting.

As for diet, high protein, low carb and low fat is a standard that helps you lose weight. The majority of your carbs should come right after your workout.

This site is great and there are a lot of very helpful people here, so keep asking questions!
