ok for the past month my routine has looked like this... 75 crunches, 150 side twists, and 75 reverse crunches.... all seems to be going great so far. I have lost a total of 3 inches in my waist.. woohooo! but I know that if you stick to the same thing your body will get use to it. So I was thinking about uping all the crunches to about 100 instead of 75, but i am not sure what to do about the side twist cause i cant really feel them working, not saying they r not, cause obviously some thing is working.. lol but i am not sure how much to up them to... right now i am at 27 inches in my waist. all i am wanting to do is get a flat stomach not to worried about getting a huge 6 pack... If you could give me a few opinions that would be greatly appericated.......

Hello,

You could do crunches to the side. Do a fit buddy search on this, I know there are more options available.

I am thinking when you say side twist that you are refering to the exercise where you are seated or standing and hold something across your shoulders and twist to the side. If I am wrong just ignore the suggestion:laugh:

Those side twists can be hard on your back if you aren't doing them correctly.

Good luck,

Leslie

I would suggest getting a med ball, or balance ball or even a 5 or 10 lb plate and add weight to your crunches, instead of reps.

the plate is probably the least expensive and smallest to store, but iether ball type will give you quite a few other workout options.

I alternate balance ball crunches and weighted crunches twice a week. It made a huge difference in losing the post-baby tummy for me personaly.

just my .02
