I'm not sure if i'm overtraing or not. I've been lifting for 6 months and i'm 20 years old. My training schedule goes like this:
Monday
Chest/tris
Tue.
Back/bis
Wed.-off
Thur.
shoulders/forearms
Fri
Legs
Sat/Sun-off
As far as muscle soreness goes it usually doesn't last more than 3 days per body part. I do 4 sets for every exercise and don't over do it when i'm in the gym. I live in the dorms at college so i get sick alot and lately about the last week and a half my neck is sore and i've been getting headaches a little not much, i can't tell if i'm getting sick or overtraining. Would maybe taking a week off do the trick? or is my workout schedule wrong?

I don't think your workout schedule is too heavy, but if you haven't taken a week off in a while now might be the time, especially if you're feeling sick and run down. Are you doing cardio on your "off" days? Or are you really "off"?

sometimes i do cardio, is that a bad thing. Should i just take it completely off?

sounds like your training is ok, if you feel run down, or feel like you don't have much strength, and have no "fire" to work out, take 4 or 5 days off, completly. After that week you'll be ready to tear down the gym doors
