Run on a flat surface for about a half mile then sprint up a steep hill...Or run up an immaculate amount of steps...Great for an explosive sport....They have these one steps in this park around my area with over 200 steps...I like to run up those, I never make it up to the top, but I have gotten faster from it.....Also try going up a steep hill running sideways...Awkward I know, but a boxing buddy of mine told me to try it out and did it for about 15 minutes and it has also helped and my lateral movements are a lot better now and my legs are pretty strong....Dont know if this would help you but just some things I have done to help me be more explosive.....Uphill should help though

Doing Squats seem to help with "explosiveness".

Squats are great for power or "explosiveness" but with less risk if you are a beginner, seated leg presses will help you also.
