I am a runner and i've got a gut to lug around and i feel if i lost it i would be a much better runner. In the morning before ive eaten i weigh about 174 pounds. I would like to get down to about 160 by mid august. This is pretty much what ive been doing so far. When i diet its all about the mind, ive pretty much been trying to eat things that dont taste too good, and have low calories and fat and stuff.I know it sounds really dumb but thats the only thing thats going to work for me. And im going to be running atleast 20 miles a week. Basically i want to know if you think that these methods will help me reach my goals, and if you have any comments or advice it would be greatly appreciated. Oh, one last thing, im trying to keep as much muscle as possible in the process.

Just Eat right, dont sacrifice the taste for the calorie
I loss weight by not doing that
Breakfast i eat cereals(whole grain),wheat breads, eggs, homemade peanut butter
Lunch i eat meat and vegetables with 1 slice of fruit
Snack = Low fat cheese or anything that is healthy
Dinner = Meat or Vegetables , depends on which one is available
To keep the muscle, take whey protein powder twice daily.. It helps...
My diet ratio is 25% carbo, 60% protein, 15% fibre....
The fat comes inside those protein and carbo..
