Hey all I've been gone for a week on spring break vacation, and well i didn't take care of myself to well as far as my diet goes. And it shows, I can tell they i have shrunk a little, was wondering if it's due to muscles shrinking due to lack of water or if my muscles have actually begun to atrophy? I'm hoping that getting back in the gym and on my diet will help inflate them back to there original size or close to. Is 1 week enough time for muscle to atrophy? Or do musles first shrink them begin to atrophy, I know I'm paranoid but I can't help it:):dumbbell:

Dude did it take a week to grow them? No it does not take just a week for them to go away. Relax more than likely it is just you thinking they have shrunk. I have taken more than 3 months off and lost less than a half inch in my arms.....so rest easy. Remeber to give yourself time to adjust to being back in the gym.....do not go right back to the same weights I always take about a week to get back up to speed. Good luck!

It's most likely water loss. The odds are you didn't drink as much water as normal so your cells are probably dehydrated. I know when I came back from vacation I had actually lost 6lbs (and I wasn't consuming any less thats for sure!), but after a week my weight was back to normal.

Take into consideration your diet during that week.
I am sure you didn't eat as you would of while training, and at home.
Your body is probaly a litlle pudgie (if that's a word) and just doesn't have as much definition.
Like Mutt said...."you don't lose it in a week".
Hope the vacation was good.
