Seems like this fighting style or workout method is getting very popular. I read about it in a fitness magazine and started downloading Thai kickboxing competitions. They all seem very lean comparison to Karate/kungfu other fighters.
I was wondering how to increase my reflexes is it just through sports ? or are their actually exercises that increase reflexes (IN THE HANDS!!!!) like wrist rolls?
i am also about 15% body fat and 200 lbs so i have to cut on my fat i gained about 5 pds since thanksgiving should i start a heavy weight lifting program or stick to cardio and light weight lifting!!!
ill be joining a muay thai kickboxin class this month anybody who is into fighting or anything could give me suggestions! i bought a jump roped and jumped roped for about 15 minutes for the past week its been killing me!!! but is a very important tool in fighting conditioning
Hi. Take care of those shins they will take a beating. I'm not a kickboxer but my friend bought me the Bas Rutten MMA workout tape. They have a Thai Boxing tape on there. Nice for when your by yourself. That tape can be used with Thai pads, heavy bag, or shadowboxing. Hitting bag is great for visualing the target and working on power. Also after a while it can make you really tired. You can use a speed bag to work on speed with your hands.
Thai boxers use 14 oz gloves they call that doing *damage with your punches*
Keep hitting the weights and cardio it will only help you out. Try to add some time hitting the bag or shadowboxing.
