Hi Gang,
I recently changed jobs, and it's causing me to work out in the morning. I've read on this site, that if you work out on an empty stomach in the morning, you'll burn a buttload of calories. Does this ring true? I think it will be good for me to work out in the AM, (a nice change from doing it around 4pm) Maybe this is what I need to break through this plateau I've been at FOREVER? :( I have about 20lbs to lose, most of it is FAT pounds, but I do have slight muscle definition in my arms and legs. I've recently started to lift HEAVIER and do more reps.
I'm also hoping maybe I'll have more energy to workout in the morning.........wish me luck!

Yeah, I'm sure it does burn loads of calories but not the ones you want to burn. I read from some site I don't recall the name of it but they say it's not good for muscle growth to exercise in the morning before breakfast, because you start eating into your aminos/proteins/muscle storage instead of fat storage. Like I say you need to get that "fat burner" going before you start working out. And how to do this is you eat breakfast...lol.. then workout. I exercised in the Army for 4 years in the morning time before breakfast I felt alright but in those 4 years I didn't see any change in weight or muscle... But my best accomplishments were made in the gym in the evening. even though I may have ran 2miles in the morning with the company I was in. I did everything a young guy in the Army would do exercise, eat loads of food, drink beer and whiskey like it was water, and have sex like 2 newly introduced rabbits.
