Im not sure if anyone can help me here,
but i started weights about 5 years ago, from major skinny guy status to an alrite level.
in that time though, ive developed major stretch marks, about 5 per bicep and 2 per shoulder ( ranging from 3-10cms each)

the thing is, i dont really train with weights that are that heavy (no more than 1.5x body weight for bench and squat)

ive been on a bit of a break recently, but am considered a more intensive routine but am concerned about a stretch mark outbreak!

any tips or advice?
is this problem genetic? or am i doing something very wrong?

Stretch marks are mostly genetic - if you don't have a lot of collagen and elastin in your skin, you are more likel;y to get them. At least they are from growing and aren't on old, saggy skin from losing weight (sorry, bad visual, I know).
You could try adding some eesential fats to your diet and I know some people who swear by 100% cocoa butter. Rubbing it into stretchmark prone areas will at least keep your skin soft and in good condition, but it is highly debated whther you can actually prevent them. You could also try going to bath and body works or a health food type store and looking for avacado oil or almond or or vitamin E oil, those are supposed to help prevent stretch marks, but again, it i sdebatable.
Just be proud of your growth, and they will fade a little with time.
