Over the last couple months and more so than ever the last few weeks i have greatly improved my diet. I use to drink soda, eat junk, go to mcdonalds , whatever. Starting in May I went away for the summer and lived in a household where they were incredibly health concious and i realized how bad i was eating and i started to change my ways. I would still get a soda or eat some junk once in a while but since i got back about 3 weeks ago i have pretty much stopped all junk. No soda, definately no take-out, and basically not much sugar at all. i'm not very knowledgable when it comes to nutriton so I'm not too sure what I'm getting from my meals. In general I have a few egg whites and oatmeal with whey added in the morning, salad and some pasta for lunch, tuna or cottage cheese as a snack when i get home from school and then i eat dinner with my family which usually consists of chickn, steak, fish or pork with potatoes and some vegetbale. All i really drink is about a gallon of water a day and maybe a glass of milk with dinner.

Now, the reason for the post is that i have noticed a big loss in energy. This morning for the first time in a few weeks i had a cup of coffee with some sugar and i am feeling great right now, more energized than i have in a while. I would really like to stay away from coffee and keep up with eating better, and actually hopefully improve, but i would also like this energized feeling. I'm not sure if there's something i should add to my diet or if there is a vitamin i should take or anything at all that would help. Any help would really be appreciated, thanx

Oh ya, I also stared taking creatine about a week ago. This feeling was there before, but i don't know if that will affect what i should be doing.

Your 20 years old and active - eat more! Your energy levels are low because you are not eating enough. How much do you wiegh? Take your weight, times 10, then add 1/2 your weight to that number. That is your basic caloric need. Add to that if you want to gain mass, and subtract or burn more calories if you want to lean out.
Do you take a good multi-vitamin and mineral supplement?

really, I thought i was eating a lot. I have a bit more than what i stated, that's the main, and when i am eating i eat pretty big portions. I eat every couple hours. I have about 4 good size meals a day, and maybe a few apples inbetween, and a protein smoothie before bed. But, I never thought that i would need more calories, like i said before i'm not too knowledgable when it comes to nutrition. I try to research it, but i get nowhere. I don't take any vitamins, but that's definately something which i should be doing, and i will. Thanx again for your reply
